THE WAVi™ BRAIN ASSESSMENT PLATFORM.
A comprehensive brain assessment system for wellness.
Of the 500 million primary-care office visits yearly in the United States, an estimated 1 in 8 are for mental disorders, including depression, ADHD, anxiety and addiction. Yet many of these patients and front-line clinicians are dissatisfied with the limited set of tools available for managing these ailments. Studies show, for example, that perhaps 70 percent of patients with bipolar disorder are misdiagnosed, as are up to half of women with depression. Additional management tools are needed for these front-line clinics.
There is a growing body of research suggesting that EEG-related technologies can provide a complementary view to brain function alongside standard screenings and assessments.
- 5 million children are diagnosed with ADHD
- 42 million adults have an anxiety disorder
- 20 million American adults suffer from depression
BEHAVIORAL AND MENTAL HEALTH
WAVI™ AND BEHAVIORAL HEALTH
Over 10 years of research and development has gone into creating the WAVi brain assessment platform which includes a multitude of tests such as:
- EEG with audio evoked P300
- HAM-A
- PHQ-9
- ASRS
According to the literature, P300 amplitude and speed are correlated with selective attention; frontal asymmetries are correlated with depression and anxiety; and central frequency states are correlated with cortical stimulation and attention disorders. Through the WAVi platform, custom reports can be created to present these features that are most important to behavioral health.
WAVi has also collected anonymized data that will be shared with our partners for collaborative studies. The WAVi database allows the patient to be followed longitudinally, where past reports can be viewed against those over various points in the aging process.
WAVi provides a simple, data-driven approach to brain assessment that is creating a better future for people of all ages. It also allows physicians to see brain physiology and patients to see views of their brain activity previously unavailable to general practice.

Sports are an important part of many people’s lives, but several carry the risk of concussion. This health risk increases when athletes are sent back prematurely into play after a traumatic brain event. But how does a physician know when to return a player, much less know when a concussive event occurred? Better management tools are needed.
Research on the subject is becoming clear: concussion is multifaceted and requires a variety of assessments. Currently, an athlete’s brain state is assessed through subjective methods. However, performance and symptoms can normalize before the brain has healed. Research shows that brain wave analysis can provide a unique picture of concussion that complements these standard assessments.
A COMPREHENSIVE BRAIN ASSESSMENT SYSTEM FOR SPORTS
- 4-5 million concussions occur annually
- 1 in 5 high school athletes will sustain a sports concussion during the season
- The chance of permanent neurologic disability increases 39% with multiple concussions
- An estimated 5.3 million Americans live with a traumatic brain injury-related disability
SPORTS CONCUSSION
WAVI™ AND CONCUSSION
Over 10 years of research and development has gone into creating the WAVI brain assessment platform which includes tests such as:
- EEG with audio-evoked P300
- Trait Making
- SCAT3
- Physical reaction time
This platform has been used in a four-year longitudinal study of 500 youth and NCAA athletes. The study found that the P300 voltage and physical reaction time correlate with symptomatic concussive events. Additionally, the P300 voltage often normalized to baseline after symptom resolution. These results corroborate previous studies.
WAVI has also collected anonymized data from players who never normalized, suffered sub-acute concussive blows, or were at risk for multiple concussions, and will be shared for collaborative studies.
The WAVI database also allows the patient to be followed longitudinally, where baseline reports can be viewed against those over various points in the healing process. WAVI provides a simple, data-driven approach to allow physicians to see brain physiology and patients to see views of their brain activity previously unavailable to general practice.
